Stop The Name Questions!

Rookie mistake. You should never provoke the betta people. They are an unstable bunch.

Yup. Males usually fight to the death if they meet each other and keeping females together should be done with caution. Same goes for the fish

You name her Scarlet

.

So far my fighters have names that suit them Carpe Diem was named because she was so small but stood her ground against her bigger sisters, Fintan (little fire) is another smallish girl who is pink ok ok cooper for the puriests but to me she looks pink or silver depending on the light, Rolly Polly the roundest of the bunch and Prima Donna always ready to jump in front of a camera. Then there is my plakat male Grumpy, another male who really doesn't have a name, Blue boy and the tiniest male called Leo after the character Leo in That 70's Show because little Leo is so laid back.

I guess I try to see my fighters and get to know them before dishing out a name for them. Like Shiya our white kitten, the other half wanted to call him Icing Sugar because he is white and gets every where
biggrin.png
. I didn;t want any thing predicatable like snowy or blackie so I went hunting for names that meant white or snow in other dialects and Shiya he became. Just for the curious it means Snow at Dawn, also The Ability to Survive and considering he was a starving 3 week old stray/ feral kitten at my work Depot the name works for him even if there is some gender confusion
