5 pygmy cories
5 guppies
4 neons
apple snails
maybe 3 cherry shrimp

1 Male Betta
Pygmy Cory's
Apple Snails

Or
6 Harlequin Rasbora
4 Platies (1M 3 Female)
Apple Snails/ Pygmy Cory

Or
A Dwarf Puffer Tank :D

Just out of noseyness ...How did you cycle it ?

:D

We need to know how you cycled you tank? if you cycled it on the advice of your local fish store, then its quite a high chance that it isnt actually cycled.

As for the fish, Tropic Johns suggestion would leave you slightly overstocked, also you shouldnt add neons until the tank is 6 months old+

The stocking would depend on if you want more fish or just a few fish.

As mentioned by kizz, you could make it into a dwarf puffer tank, they need to be kept in aspecies only tank and could put 2/3 in there but nothing else, lovely fish though!

I did a fish cycling....the tank has actually been up for 7 months....and its been doing quite well... i just sold the cycling fish i used (zebra danios), about a week ago

Tropic_john: isnt that kinda overstocked  ??? IF i was going to use those types...how many should i drop from that list so it would fit?

Kizz: i usually have troubles with platies.....they tend to get ich alot  (when i had them...just bad luck eh?) what should i use to substitute them??

arobinson1984: yupp :D i was looking at a larger stoking (that would go into a 10g of course!)

many thank youz

Are you wanting to go down the livebearer route? You could go for Endler Cross's same Ratio as the platties ...The only thing with livebearers is that you may become over run with fry rather quickly. You could go for an all male group of endlers or have a few small shoals of smaller fish

Black Neons
Cardinals
Neons
Rummy Nose Tetra
Diffrent form's of Rasbora

Have a look HERE

Look for small shoaling fish if you think they look ok google images on them you tend to get a yrue feel for colour etc then post what you like here and we'll be able to tell you what's compatible

Also how are you keeping the filter bacteria alive ? DO you have other fish in the tank ? or are you still adding ammonia daily ?

:D

maybe a FEW endlers....i could deal with the fry....

and YES im still adding a tiny bit of ammonia....but the tank is just about mature (4-6 months)

Any other ideas???

Welcome to the forum DeepLove.
I have an endlers tank with a few of the pygmy sized Corydoras habrosus in it. The cories are almost as lively as the endlers and the endlers give the whole thing a splash of color.

Thanks Oldman47 :D

hmmmm what do you guys think of this:

1 honey gourami
3 pygmy corys
4 Endlers (1M and 3F)

and maybe 2 marble hatchet fish????

anything i should DROP or add????
if any of these are prone to ich PLEEEEAAASSEEE let me know :(

hey, great to hear you're still adding the ammonia, so many people forget about that and don't realize that they don't have a cycled tank anymore. the good bacteria multiplies very quickly once it is established. so if you have a liquid test kit. add ammonia to the tank till you have about 5 ppm. (you can use the aquarium calculator at the top of the page to figure out approx. how much ammonia it should be)
dosing it to that amount will ensure you have enough of a biofilter to handle adding all your fish at once.

Lots of people say that honey gourami's and dwarf gouramis are very weak, and get disease easily. I have only had this problem though before i knew about cycling tanks. and usually all the fish died not just the gourami. so i'd say go for it.

the pygmy's would like a bigger group, 6-8. and their so tiny it won't make much of a difference to your bioload.

probably pass on the marble hatchet fish, they do best in a school. and also the gourami is primarily a top dwelling fish, and that's also where the hatchet fish would be. so personally, i'd say pass on them.

haha yea......my ammonia is about 5ppm actually :D YAY!!!

So the honey is a yes :) great! and are you sure that 6-8 would still go into my little 10gallon ALONG with the others????

So what about this list then:

1 honey gourami
6 pygmys
4-6 glolight tetras? (yes? no? maybe so?)

Many thanks youz!!! you guys give great advice

yea should be fine

edit:
actually. i don't know.
ha, it seems some sites say 10 gallons is fine for glowlights. this site says 15. another site said 24" tank (15 or 20 High). i'm not sure why, because harlequin rasbora are about the same size, neons are about the same, and those fish are suggested for 10 gallons.

any other opinions on it?

if not i'd say it'd be ok. because you are not going to have a large bioload...and how much of a difference is 4" going to make.
if you really like them, i think it's ok. 5 or 6 would probably be fine. usually for schools 6 is suggested. but if you want to try it out first and see how it goes that is understandable. sometimes fish will do worse though if they aren't in the bigger group.. i think you'll be fine.

great!!! THANKS! :D

thats what im gonna do <3
