Hello!
I have a 15 gallon tank that I am thinking of putting some rams in. I am thinking 1. I need help thinking of some good smaller fish to compliment them. I am thinking some neon tetras and some corys, but I'm not sure.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, 15 US, 57 Liters.

I think I might just get 1. The one will have plenty of room, and I'd have more room for other fish.

Are we talking US or Imperial gallons?

Apparently US as Tolan is from Maine which I believe is in the USA.
So 15 US gallons equates to approx 57 litres?

David

Whoops, didn't notice :X (doh)

In that case I'd say you can house two rams and about 10 rummynose tetras, but I wouldn't go further than that.

If you want to push your stocking, then reduce the rummynoses to 6 and get 6 adolfo's corys.
With only 6 rummynoses though you won't benefit from their schooling behaviour, so maybe you could swap them with 6 cardinals

Well, one would be fine by itself, in that case you could go with 8 cardinals and 6 corys, but it's really interesting to watch their behaviour in group, especially when you have a pair.

So, would:
2 rams
6 neons
6 corys
be okay?

generalizing for the corys. I'd make sure to find some that'd be okay with the temperature.

It would be pushing it a bit, but should be ok if you keep up the water changes.
I would go for cardinals rather than neons though. As well as looking better (in my opinion) they are better suited for the higher temperatures.

How's this sound?:
2x Golden Ram
8x Pygmy Corydoras
6x Cardinal Tetra

I personally prefer german blues and electric blues, but as I said it's a personal preference. Other than that it looks fine.

I figured that the red/blue of the cardinal would go well with with the yellow of the rams.
