Stocking Suggestions For 20G

That's a good idea, I will mention it to him. Why would you not do what we're going to try to do? Just don't think it'd look good? =o I don't think it will be something we can't remove so if it doesn't look right we can just change it :)

I have this vision of looking into the tank and seeing myself in the background... Not the vision I want - just a personal preference.

Oh that's true, don't want that  I guess we'll see! Thank you again :)

Nothing beats a black background, or in a well planted tank, no background at all.  The reflective background would look weird in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure about it, it's something my dad wants to try and there's no harm in trying it. If it doesn't work out and we can't get Eagles idea to work then yes we will be going with a black background

We did not like the reflective background, didn't work out quite as expected. When we bought the tank used it had a two sided background taped to it so we're using the black side of it, didn't have to tape it, it's sitting nicely behind the tank

Added the first dose of ammonia. Will take out the plastic plants and dinosaur more than likely. Want to leave the boat in cause me and dad like it and it's from a fellow fishy friend.

Very good, Nin.

Thank you though I'm not sure what you mean by effect? ;o

Hope it's okay to bump this up.

I have been able to get a hold of the blue-eye spotted rainbows that TL suggested, so wanting to know how I should change the stocking.

Think they'll end up looking like this. Obviously not my picture, and hope it's okay to post it here. If not certainly take it down.

Have added the picture so can sort of get an idea on their coloring, which may help with suggestions on what else to put with them, if anything.

I believe I've read that they are relatively short-lived, so if you want to keep them long-term you should have them breeding.

This is a little tricky since it's best to do breeding in species only tanks, but I really had my heart set on the peacock gudgeons. Thoughts?

Also here is a pic of one of them that I have right now, they're currently in my 55g while the 20g cycles. Hard to take pics of, they're so small and fast!

That one is cropped to show it better. Here is the full pic :p

And for some more of them..
55g album: http://s114.photobucket.com/user/ninjouzata_2006/library/55g%20Tank Would have to do a lot of poking around to find the full images with them, although most of the crops are right there.
Video, some shots of them but was mainly focusing on one of my cories: http://s114.photobucket.com/user/ninjouzata_2006/media/55g%20Tank/100_1115.mp4.html

Very nice!!!

No idea about the other stocking, maybe you could have some panda corys (not sure if they're suitable)?

The blue-eye spotted rainbows look gorgeous! They will look great in your tank once its cycled! :D

love the shape of your tank, it is very unique looking. I think a BN pleco would look great in it :)

Thank you Blondie! Seriously can't wait to see them against the black background.
Cories are tempting but I believe peacock gudgeons like to be at the bottom of the tank, so think it'd be best left to them. I wonder if they'd eat shrimp?

Thanks FFF, I like it too! Fits nicely on that table. :)
Thank you for the suggestion but I think the minimum tank size for bn plecs is 30g, and, honestly, hopefully no one hates me for this..I think bn's are kind of ugly  In a cute ugly way, but still.
I also don't think the kind of wood I'm getting would be suitable for plecs. :(
