So now i'm aloud to have a betta in the hexagonal at christmas (slowly up to 3 tanks in 3 months :hyper: ) so i've changed my stocking plans.

Would this be okay and what order would i put them in
- 5 male cherry barbs (don't know obout males together?)
- 1 male honey gourami
- 5 Harlequins
- 5 of Some kind of cory
- Or maybe i'm htinking to small for these but maybe just a small group of tiger barbs ( not with vurrent stocking list just on their own)
- Or try and persuade me into something completely different. :good:

60L aqua art. Rough measurements
H-35
L-50
W-30

EDIT: I tihnk their should be a stocking list section :D
Thanks in advance :shifty:

All species mentioned are fine. Good small species, compatible, not too active and won't outgrow a 60 litre tank so pat on the back for you :fun: . If you are going for cories they will have to be one of the 3 common pygmy species. Corydorus pygmaeus, habrosus or hastatus. I wouldn't even go there with tiger barbs. All the species you mention are placid community fish and will not appreciate the constant harrassment from Tiger Barbs. Also a 60 litre tank is not big enough for these active 3" fish to grow out in to. In terms of stocking order all of those species are fairly hardy. I would be inclined to stock the harlequin rasboras first and the cories last as in my experience the harelequins are hardier than pygmy cories. I assume you are fishless cycling the tank by seeding the new filter with mature media from one of your existing tanks.

:good:

Yes so i ahve to add slowly will do that way. Yep thinking pygmies =). Yes i've put a third pf media into new filter and swapped 1 third of new media into fluval and instantly cycled. Adding 2 fish every 2 weeks.

ive always found this stock list rather charming for a 60 litre. one of my tanks is currently like this.

2 honey gouramis
6 neon tetras
6 glowlights. or you could instead just have 12 neons(better display, especialy at night with some led lights)
4 corys( i have peppered) you could have bronze, pygmy, peppered, sterbai, panda etc.
and the best bit the shrimps!(about 4-6) and with some HC that will carpet the tank it will look great and expect dazzleing shows from the neons.
ps. is your tank atleast 4 months old or more if not id steer away from neons and go for a hardier specie.

good luck. :good:

that would be good but id drop the cherry barbs as they can become very agressive. and will make your tank overstocked

stick to 2 honeys. 10 harlequins, 4 or 5 panda corys and id get 4-6 cherrys

sounding rather nice just make sure you provide plants as honeys like to claim a territory and make sure you get a male and female not both males. you will generally see them as a pair in the shop tank.

good luck :good:

ive got 6 cherry barbs, they only are ever aggresive to eachover, their own kind. and even then its never that bad.
and ive had them over a year and they are fine. but if you wanne swap them for a type of tetra then thats always good.
honey gourami's stay nice and small and ive seen males cohabitating whereas dwarf gouramis dont like it
its all upto you lucy, sounds like itl be nice either way, with some bogwood and some plants the shrimps and fish will provide an interesting colourgul display

I am gonna keep cherry barbs and for overstocking i'm sure it will be fine. How do i tell gender difference? Also would 2 males fight? Nope i already got tera wanna try these and halrequins. Yep will be.

just get a group thats what i did. they all look similar when theya re little.
2 of them are males and get on fine and the other 4 are females. fat ones

Okay so now i have ordered the heater i have writ ouit a list. Does it sound good?
btw the filter is cycled by adding 1 third of media from fluval to it.

Hi, Lucy,
just wanted to say congrats on what sounds like a lovely tank (waiting for pics already) and I know you'll love your Harley's - beautiful fish.
(I'll stand back and watch the experts comment on your specific stocking plans, since they're experts and all
and I have to edit typos in simple sentences...)
