Hi guys. I currently have a 40 gallon (151 liter) community tank and have been a fish enthusiast for years.

I am planning on getting 2 more tanks very soon!

This is what I have planned for my 2 new tanks that I will be setting up:

Tank A:
Tank A will be 20 gallons (75 liters), and will be planted. It will contain Crystal Red Shrimp and Neon Tetra. The substrate will be black gravel, to show the true colors of the creatures inside. :good:

Tank B:
I'm not too sure about how I will stock this one, which is why I have come to you guys for suggestions! All I know is, it will be 55 gallons (208 liters), I will have 1 Fire Eel, and the substrate will be sand. What else should I add besides the fire eel?

Comments/suggestions appreciated!

The first tank sounds good :good: nice big school and groups of cherries should look good :) Tank two the fire eel will need a lot more room there are other eels that will work in your tank or you could consider some of the smaller bichirs I think.

I think that a fire eel would be too large for a 55 gallon.
How big do you recommend me going for the Fire Eel? I was always under the impression that 50g is the minimum for them.

Ya it should look good! I meant to say Cardinal Tetras, rather than Neon by the way.

What other species do you guys suggest for Tank B?

What fish should I stock Tank B with since a Fire Eel would outgrow the tank?

Bichir maybe? African Butterfly Fish?

I believe a Senegal Bichir should be okay in there as would a group of African Butterly Fish which I reckon would be a fantastic idea in the tank. I believe its best to keep a group or just a single specimen not sure what would be good for mid water though...
