Finally got my Juwel 180 almost complete (100cm x 40cm x 50cm).

It has a sand substrate with real plants and I was hoping to be able to add a couple more fish (maybe a centrepiece fish or two?) before it become overstocked?

Currently I have....

6 Black Ruby Barbs
2 Mollies
2 Platys
2 Melini Corys
4 Julii Corys
3 Ottocinlus
2 Bristlenose Plecs (still small, about 3cm head to tail)
2 Khuli Loaches

I would like to add up to 4 more Khuli Loach ideally as I have read that they have a low bioload?

Also possibly some Boesmani Rainbowfish and/or Angelfish and/or Polka Dot Loach? Or any other suggestions?

Or am I overstocked already?

Thanks

I'd go with angelfish, rainbows and kuhlis.

You still have a fair bit of room to play with.

how about a nice ram? a bol ram would look lovely in there!! the khuli loaches would be fine to add aswell! you could get some dwarf chain loaches they dont get quite as big as teh polka dot ones and there just as interesting to watch!

Thanks for the advice. Do Chain Loaches help keep snail population down the same as Polka Dots?

How big are the Black ruby barbs? They look amazing when fully grown. :)

maybe some nice rainbows or some dwarf cichlids?

The Black Ruby Barbs are still young (about 2-3cm head to tail)

I always wanted Cockatoo Cichlids but am now tempted by Rainbowfish?

I can't decide :dunno:
