my 55 gallon is finally full of plants, and its in our living room. My family wants it to have more fish. I currently have
-5 tetras
-4 dwarf honey gouramis
-3 khuli loaches
-a hillstream loach
-small orange pleco(?)
Is it overstocked, if not what should i add? I really like golden wonder killifish but i dont know how many would be reasonable. I do about 25% water changes once a week. Ill add a picture of the aquarium. Thank you for the help!

Tanks looking good! I’d try to remove some of the part eaten leaves though as the plant will be trying to fix them rather than grow new leaves which will look better.

In terms of adding fish you are not over stocked but first I’d add more of some of the fish you already have so more of the tetras (same kind) more khuli loaches. I’d get both groups to 12 of each. The hill stream loach really needs to be in a specialised set up with high flow so just something to think about.

Golden wonders are a great fish but when adult the larger males could go for your tetras - which tetras are they btw - they look like black neons?

Hmm not sure what to suggest really, maybe a school of a larger schooling fish like spotted headstanders or maybe a group of dwarf chain loaches? How about some kind of friendly cichlid like a group of Cupid cichlids? Small enough and peaceful enough to get on with your other fish and will stick to the bottom leaving your gourami to the top third.
