hey everyone, i have posted b4 but ive decided to again!

i have a 200L with malawis in but there going in the next few weeks! once they have gone and the fishless cycle is complete, im going to stock the tank up with community (tropical) fish. i have a rough idea of what i want, these are:

- 5/6 albino corys
- 3 yoyo loaches
- a male blue betta
- 8 guppies
- a blue dwarf gourami
- and 1 or 2 plecs (maybe common, albino or a BN)

i am prety expreienced the aquatic field but its always nice to got other peoples point of view + advice so plz give me ur advice on my stocking, have i got enough? what else i can put in there ETC!

thnx,

ryan

If the malawis are already in why do you need to cycle it again?Unless your not going to be putting the new fish in soon after the malawis go.

I agree with truckasauras123 those fish arent suitable together and the pleco will get to big.

i had 2 sailfins and they were outgrowing my tank at 5 inches

so probs a Bn plec?? although someone with more plec knowledge will kno :p

bettas and guppys are anooo apoarantly

i hada betta in my community tank - worked for a while then it didnt..... so i wouldnt chance it tbh..."

1.a common pleco will outgrow your tank
2.guppies should not be kept with male bettas
3.gouramis should not be kept with male bettas

4.Gouramis and Guppies are a no-no
5.Albino plecs are same as 1.

Otherwise, Truck's analysis is good :good: BN plecs should be fine in there though

All the best

thnx every1, can i just say that my tank is 5 foot!

so i think ill have corys, guppies, GBR and ANY IDEAS PPL?

also, my father want toclean the tank out as these malawis have totally reked it lmao. the filtersd are aklways full of crap coz there are messy fish (fact!) so ye, he wants to do a fishless cycle. could i just ask, would it be better to just keep the malawi water in, test my sats and then see about adding fish? .x.

what about 3 angels?

ryan

Can't have the Guppies with Angels, as the latter will nip the Guppies fins more often than not  I'm not understanding the GBR initials, what species are you refuring to there? Many members view text speak as rude, so you should get a better responce through writting in full :good:

Is this tank the Fluval 200? If so, it is only about 3ft and not 5ft.
We need to know as it will make a difference in helping you with stocking suggestions.:good:

If your tank is a 200 litre and 5ft long, it can only be 6" deep!!
I think you need to measure again or list the model of tank you have got.
