Steph's 7G Planted Cube

So, I managed to find and buy some dragon's breath macro, however, the person didn't send it with a heat pack and it's like 5 degrees here.... so I got it and put it in the tank ASAP, 2 days later, it has bleached slightly likely due to the cold/shipping stress, but the back looks like it is still OK for now... Going to keep an eye on it and b!7@* to the buyer if it dies...

I also picked up my two bumblebee shrimp today! They're so small and adorable!

Mangrove also looks like it's starting to sprout leaves on top.

Pictures to come!

I need to buy a heatpack, Steph. I don't want your stuff bleaching. :(

Couple of pictures of the bumbles! They seem to be doing well!

They're amazing

Awwww, they do look like little pistols, minus the large claw.

All the shrimpys are well, the bumblebees are coming out a lot more now. I wasn't home for four days and it seems that in that time the rest of the halymenia decided during sometime then to completely finish bleaching out and dying. That's frustrating.

But, I found a different supplier who also had a few other macros on my must have list, so i've put in an order with him and they should be here later in the week (with a heat pack!!). His mother colonies look fantastic.

Here's hoping it goes better this time!!

In the mean time, diatoms have taken over the tank

That is frustrating. :(

I'm still working on getting heat packs. I found a website... But they are kind of expensive.

If the other supplier doesn't work out. I'm sorry I couldn't send them. I just really didn't feel right sending them when they were threatening to go sexual.

Llj, someone had previously quoted me about an additional $1.50 to add a heat pack, so those prices seem rather believable to me. I didn't order any halimeda tough. I got some NEW dragon's breath; Purple Octo.; Galaxaura Sp.; and some "Red Fern" Haliption Sp.

Can't wait to get them!

Put in 5 nerite snails today to combat the diatoms!

Llj, I ordered off someone on ebay who I had heard wonderful things about almost a year ago when I was first looking into doing this tank. He was without macros for quite a few monnths and only a few days ago started selling again, I was super excited.

All the macros should be here Friday, pictures then!

Wooooo!

School's been getting the best of me!
The macro shipment came in and while they were packed excellently, the heat pack seemed to fail early and the macros were still quite cold by the time I got them. The octo and dragon breath were basically dead already, while the other two are currently still holding on for dear life. Luckily the guy was nice about it and returned my money for the other two.

So, with that I think I might stop trying to ship macro until it gets warmer out...

Bored at work yesterday, I went peaking through our sumps and got a couple of GORGEOUS red macros that were hitchhikers!!! Unsure on the IDs, if anyone has some insight, let me know. Pink/red with iridescent orange highlights.

The LEDs make them shine sooooo brilliantly!

Love this build just read it :hyper:

I love sleek, small tanks, I would love one

BTW if you want to know, I went wade-in fishing in the Chesapeake Bay and caught a 2" seahorse. This was on a tour and the guide said it was so rare and took it to the Baltimore aquarium. They live in brackish too aparently.
