Starting Again

Haha yay! i remember we always use to use this forum! Well I've not kept anything since my bettas all died. It was kinda scary, put me off keeping fish. But i really want a marine tank... AGAIN! i procrastinate about keeping a marine tank so much, hope fully this time my idea won't fail! lol.

ooohhh great! yeh it looks great!! very creative :D Is this the only tank you have going? Don't think I've been on the forums for about a year? You kept anything else since then? :)

This is the tank now. the plants where just chucked in ill move them soon. Im not massively keen on the sate but it looks better than having the 4 coconut caves on show

Yeah we did. Thats a shame :/. Do it, Marine tanks are something thats always tempted me but the only fish i want is a lionfish which doesnt seem like the best starter fish.

Yeah i slod all my other tanks a while ago now. That forums sort of dead off now, i only check on it from time to time.

Tanks looks great! I think the slates look awesome, they make the tank more earthy! Ahh yes the infamous coconut caves?! Heheh! They were the craze back then!

Ah same situation then, gutting when you close down tanks but got to be done sometimes. Lionfish?! they sure do look amazing! i can see the appeal :) haha really? don't think I've been on there for a while.

:D

Cheers, haha i think i have about 20 of them scattered around still.

Its is but i just didnt have the time for 3 tanks. Yeah there stunning, i went to egypt a few years ago and saw them and have wanted them ever since. What are you wanting to keep?

CoconutCavesFTW?!! okay a tad too far....

Lol, i could just about keep 2. Now I'm trying to juggle keeping a rabbit and a kitten atm too, so a new marine tank will defos throw a spanner in the works! 3 tanks is ALOT! Ohhh sharm el sheikh? Ive always wanted to go there! How was it? I don't know.... say 2 clown fish! Yes i was a sucker for the Finding Nemo film! I think my tank might be abit of a tight squeeze though? Currently seriously broke as i brought a Mac. So ill need to wait till next payday!

Have you thought of keeping a marine tank? I think they consume quite a lot of time (and money) lol x

Haha. Fair enough, they do seem like a lot more hassle than most tropical tanks. It was great, i went snorkelling just just in the sea right behind the hotel and saw rays, lionfish, puffers, clown fish, scorpion fish, a massive barracuda and loads more. Well worth going if you get the chance.

When i got my 150G Lionfish and Puffers where a serious thought but i never managed to get it set up in the end. Yeah on an apprentice wage i think i would have struggled to afford it haha.

Well ive swapped the Laetacaras for 5 Cryptoheros Cutteri the lfs tried tellingme they where F1s brought in by a breeder but considering they then tried telling me there parentswhere caught in south america i doubt they are. The Laetacaras where nice but just to shy and timid for my liking. 2 of the Cutteris are already showing sings of pairing, there both hovering over the slate end of the tank and from time to time chasing the others off but they dont seem to bad so far. There also having no problems with the Swords steeling there food now.
