They sell galaxy rasboras and scissortail rasboras. All I've seen.

5 to 6 galaxy rasboras and a Betta could go well in a 8 gallon

How about a 5? Or what tank kit would you suggest?

5 could work, and I don't know exactly which tank you should get but If I were you I would aim for an 8 gallon tank

Wish they made an 8 gallon chi I think that's what I'll end up getting because I only found one ok deal for an 8 gallon half-moon comes with stand for $100 but not sold on spending $50 extra dollars. I really only like how the chi has the waterfall thing.

Thanks that’s been really helpful.

I would say though you shouldn’t keep any guppies with the betta, this is the reason we have got a second tank as we have guppies in the main tank. You can’t predict what the feeder guppies will look like as often it is just indiscriminate breeding so they could still have flowing tails and the betta with rip it to shreds. I have seen this first hand as my sister in law mixed guppies and a male betta and the results were very unpleasant. Often the feeder guppies are silver/white with shorter tails but not always. Also check for any abnormalities as they can sometimes be deformed due to the way they are bread. I guess if they don’t have flowing tales it might be ok but I would be very carful what you buy if you go down this route.

Thanks for the advice about the mollies I hadn’t heard that before and they were recommended by a different site. Sometime I think people forget that it’s the betta that might get bullies not just the other way round!
