Found some more poor subjects to take pictures of early this morning. Anyone know what kind of spider this is? I thought it was a black widow, but the markings are a little off. :/

Not such a fan of the spiders or hornets (?) But the pics are great and the little frog is so adorable. Great pics. Sorry, don't know what the spider is though.

:good:

OK, just did some research and found out it is a Black Widow Spider, just a juvenile one. As a juvenile, they have red and white markings on the upper abdomen, while adult females are easily identified by the red hourglass marking on the lower abdomen.

 I may liek to photograph spiders and other wildlife, but I really am afraid of spiders. Shhhh, don't tell anyone.

I would get rid of the hornet nest, hornets and wasps make their nests out of chewed up dead wood- they will use any dead wood near them and can cause quite a bit of damage to wooded beams, ceilings, floors etc. Plus they are nasty insects- if you've ever been stung by a bee or wasp in your life, these are like 20 times worse.

The black widow spider, although deadly, are not agressive as long as you stay out of their territory- you may want to ask wether you want to be on the safe side though, you don't want anyone who doesn't know about it bumping into it and getting bitten  .
I have no idea what the frog is though.
