Yeah I know, but truely I think they deserve a seperate section - most newbies wouldn't have a clue that loaches can come under cyprinids.

If it was a section within Cyprinids, then people would need to know they were Cyprinids in which case they will know where they are.

That's not what I meant at all!
I'm not after a sub-section. Simply a Loach section on the fish index.

I've told you why a section outside of Cyprinids will not work, and quoted your own reason why a seperate section within Cyprinids won't work. The common factor here is "won't work" - so it is not going to happen.
