Spawn Log, Gerard And Cream

Trust me, it works well.

I just need to figure out how to heat a half full 10g. I only have a reg heater and can't buy another. So mine hangs off the top of the tank. If I could figure it out I'll try Friday or Thurs

Ok my breeding tank is almost done. Just waiting for the temp to go from 78 to 82. Only problem is feeding the fry. I suck at raising BBS and can't find other stuff here ><

Microworms, grindal worms, boiled egg yolk, liquid fry food, vinger eels, there's lots of stuff out there.

Update on spawning.

I can not tell if they are done. Cream has some eggs still, but Gerard keeps gaurding the nest (I can't see eggs, the tank is covered in mist), I'm gonna tak her out later tonight, just to make sure. He seems to dart around, so I'm assuming the eggs are falling out of the nest and he's catching them (he always goes back up to the bubblenest).

Their done! OK, I pulled Cream early (she has a few eggs left) but she was getting way nipped at and really stressed out. But hey, I counted the eggs as they fell out of Cream. Around 360. I'm not sure how many Gerard ate, but the bubble nest, which he somehow combined both of them into one, is half full of opaque white eggs! :hey: Gerard is happliy guarding the nest! I'm so excited!

Congrats on the spawn! I just chuck my female in regardless of if there is a nest or not and they normally spawn within 12-24 hours! Cant wait to see how they do

It's so fun to watch. The dad, he'll take the eggs out of the nest, and re-position them. I'll keep you updated. :)

Whats the divider for? I don't see it mentioned in your setup >< Cough I'm trying to dupe your method within the week.

That, that's simply so the female can't get far away. I take it out after done breeding.
