spawn diary

Ohhhhh the pic is so cute! (hopefully, if I keep praising the fry and dad, I'll get a free one :shifty: ) ;) lol! j/k I hope the fry are okay without daddy!

wow wuv, how did u get that pic, i was told u couldn't get up in there and bother them -_- did u use a mirror?
ehhh, it depends on the male. This one has been with me for some time and he's also spawned before. Some males are a lot less high strung than others....plus I put off a very mellow,no-pressure vibe when I look ;)

Here's my favorite daddy/fry pic...(since we're on the subject :p )

I will never get over that picture, just absolutely amazing

Glad to hear Daddy's doing a good job

Well....I've been non-threateningly attempting to remove him for about an hour now  He rushes back over to the fry where I can't get him and he tries to make himself look busy as if he's helping them

On another note...omg the fry are black just like the others were :hyper:  I know I said that already but I really got a good look at them this morning B) I've been sitting in front of the tank staring forever and talking to the male

I was wondering why I wasn't stoked about this spawn, I suppose it just hadn't hit me yet,but it has now :hyper:

Whatever you do, don't tell him about my spawn. I can hear it now...

"Mom, mom, can I stay in? I promise I won't eat any....or at least not many..."

"No way! Now get away from those fry. C'mon, I said now!"

*Wheedling fishie voice* " But mom, cations plakat Spazz got to stay in with his fry, why can't I?"

"Because we have more sense in this house then cation does in hers. If Spazz jumped out of the bowl and and fell on the floor, would you do it to?"

"Aww, mom."

I actually thought about ya when I was removing him a few minutes go  That's too funny. He may have done very well, he seemed to like being with the fry but he's an old man and he also looked exhausted, he really needed a break. Now he's back in his 2.5 showing off to his lady neighbor  He must feel manly.

:flex:

The fry are starting to swim freely

meh....not much to report :dunno: They're at that funny point where they just stay close to the underfolds of leaves...kinda boring *yawn*
I've yet to see them eat because I haven't been home much but I saw them watching falling microworms very intently so I'm sure somebody ate and the others will follow.
