I keep changing my mind about stocking, im getting so confused.
Sorry for another stocking question.

Ive decided on going for a 4ft 48x18x24 75g with a tetratec ex1200

I was going to go with this -

1 Senegal Bichir
15 Serpae Tetres
2 Firemouth
2 Blue Acara
1 Convict
15 Cory (NOT SURE ON TYPE YET)

Is this ok?
isit overstocking?

What would you do if you had this tank?

no. my 75 gallon has 3 senegals, 2 jack empseys, gar, arowana, catfish and a blue cobalt...mines barely over crowded. the arowana is the only thing that is huge in my tank. The birchirs might eat your corys and tetras. the birchirs get 18 in. long. I think a good fit with the birchirs and firmouths would maybe be a gar or freshwater barracuda..

thats just my opinion

I'd advise against a gar or fw barracuda.
Sounds like it'll be really cool! can't wait for pics! :good:

I thought senegals max out at about 12 inches....
Yep there will be tons of pics when I get the tank and a mini journal,
What should I replace the corys with, and the tetras?

Loads of pics? Where are the pics of your current setups?

I would leave the birchir and keep the cories and tetras. You already have 5 potential grumpy, aggessive fish. Too many imo.

Lol they will come when I upload them all at once, bit of an effort to upload ALL of them to photobucket and link them,
And thanks Ill leave the senegal out

+1, its been a long time, get some up, its about time we all saw the multiple tanks in the sig :)

why get another tank? Wouldn't all those fish happily fit into the 200g?

Yes it would but I would like a tank for my room.

and a lot more.....

Only just noticed that. Why are you buying a 75gal to rehouse the stuff in the 200gal? They would be far happier in the long run staying in the 200gal. Especially considering the size of a fully grown Common Plec. I was considering one a few months back, then caught sight of an 18" beast in the display tank at a LFS, and decided 75 gal was Definately not really big enough for him.....

EDIT: You answered already, but the question still stands,

Why shift such large fish into a 75g, when you have a freely available 200gal?

Also because I prefer cichlids and other species rather than your average community tank.
I do like community setups but would like another cichlid one.
