Luckily I have a habit of looking at the betta cups each visit to Wal-Mart because my boyfriend notice one cup had two males in it. I saw another cup empty.
Some jerk emptied one cup into the other, probably to get a kick out of watching them fight. I don't think it had been long, but there were pieces of fin in the cup.
We poured half the water back in the empty cup and I scooped one betta out into the other cup.
Ooooooooooh! I wanted to chase the person down and beat them with meat logs. I hate how people disregard bettas, they've become the new goldfish really. It's so cruel.
I was just outraged, so I wanted to share. Look out for people doing that. I know I'll be double checking more often. sdfdskjhfkdh

Luckily, my Walmart keeps the Bettas in little plastic holders with slits in them inside the main tanks. Petsmart on the other hand.....
