Pics later--I'm not on my home comp.
My lfs got in this gorgeous batch of crownies. Very surprising considering the terrible fish they usually get in(poor little ones). I am hoping this means they have taken a hint from the complaining betta people (I just found out that it's not just me!).
Anyway, they had cambodians, the flag-marbles, and even a turquios--I've never seen a turqious CT before
So, in the efforts of keeping my tank space open, my friend had decided to buy a new male for herself, but allow me to breed him.
His pics are coming, but for now imagine a soft creamy white face with dark eyes, white shimmer that fades to pale blue and on the tips of his fins, soft red. And spunky as the day is long! I actually was looking at a male in the front, but the movement of this new boy flarinf in the back caught my eye. As I said, PERFECT match for Exxon (see pic in sig).
Anyways, the spawning tank will be set up in a couple of weeks, giving us time to make sure he didn't come with any illnesses and giving us time to prep them both with lots of live bloodworms! I am still amazed that my lfs stepped up like this! And all young bettas too!
Luckily, since my last spawning attempts that I called off, I have still been stocking up on supplies! Jars and jars and jars and...............
