My angel is not eating and is always looking upwards... could there be a problem??? i tried to bribe it with fry guppies and still wont eat... ive had it for about 2 weeks now. any suggestons?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Does he look pale or darker in colour.
Does he look bloated or thin.

Not wise to feed feeder fish as they carry desease plus fish don't get much nutrients out of them.

Angel body size, how long the tank has been running, tank temperature & tankmates will help as well.

its a 36x12x20 i believe its a 40 gallon. its been running for about 3 months now, it is planted. My angel is small, about 2 inches from top to bottom. Tankmates are 2 festivum cichlids, 3 keyhole, 6 neon dwarf, 6 cory(pandas), 1 oto and 1 wood shrimp. as far as water stats I only know nitrite which is less than 0.3, also i know that my tap water is hard, temp i raised up to 80 but will planning to lower it soon. and it is the same size since i got him/her from lfs. colorwise, the fish is normal i should say, didnt look any different since i got it from lfs. hmmmmmm maybe hes/shes still shy? thanks for the help

Angels like it warm, 80F is towards the low end of the scale. Start with a separate quar tank, a 10 gallon will do. Bring the temperature up to the upper 80's over a couple of days after adding the angel. Make sure you have plenty of aeration, warmer water holds less O2.

Pick up some metronidazole, hex a mit is a commonly found one. 40mg per gallon with daily 50% water changes & remed. After a few days sprinkle a little metro on some frozen brine shrimp, get this near the angel so they are more likely to eat it. Even if they mouth it & spit it out, they will get some of the med into their system.

Two weeks is quite a while to go without eating for an angel that size.
