The water looks a little um... what? They just had water changes today so the water is a little um.. fine The bowl does have some marks on it though, they wont come out no matter how much i scrub them, but that doesn't bother the fish
And he does not have fin rot. He chewed half of his tail off a couple of months ago and it is now growning back nicely The ends have come back clear, which looks odd though.. Here's a pic to show his tail a bit better... Im no good at taking pics through round bowls
So the areas circled in Yellow are marks on your tank then? Ok, but it looked like dirty water with stuff floating in it to me.
Well I know from experience that the area circled in Red is fin rot..the fins gradually turn clear then fall away. I've had it happen to some of my white fish before.
No, the 'areas circled in yellow' are bits of fuzz on the outside of the bowl which i hadn't noticed actually.. Probably from where i just used a kitchen towel thing to get rid of the smears on the glass that i accidentally got down in when i did a water change. I can assure you that his tank is clean and he is very, very healthy.
And you obviously dont have as much experience with fin rot as you think That is obviously new growth on my fish! Even if you cant tell it on the first two pics which are admittedly not great, its pretty obvious on the last one
I suggest you have a look at your water quality if you have fish suffering from fin rot before accusing other people of not looking after their own fish...
I believe it is clear re-growth too. I have a male who occasionally chews his tail and the new re-growth looks exactly like that. The re-growth is all smooth and even with no red/white/black ediging either like it would be if it were fin rot.
I don't think Jessica's water is dirty. I've used paper towel before taking pictures too and you can't see the dust until you use flash and then it shows up in all the pics. I try and take a dry cloth and rub over the bowl/tank again and usually that takes care of the dust. But come on who really cares about dust in some pics Your bettas are beautiful
