So Who Eats Fish? (not Tropical!)

I absolutely love seafood of all kinds, including tropical fish. Squid, oysters, crab, conch, eel, crayfish, you name it, I love it! I have to say I'm not too crazy about octopus but I used to say the same thing about squid until I had it fresh and prepared properly. I enjoy catching and cooking my own freshwater fish when I can. Wild Brook Trout is one of my favourite fish, next to impossible to get unless you catch it yourself and it's a lot of work to get to where they still exist. If good seafood was cheaper and easier to get fresh I could almost give up meat. (...almost)

I don't eat any meat or any animal product for that matter. But was a vegan long before I got fish.

I love seafood! Baby shrimp, jumbo shrimp, squid, octopus, fish, batter fried oysters (raw is just.. bleh), crab (YUM), clams are alright but not my fav...
Seafood is just yummy!
Keeping fish hasn't detered me one bit.

Not only do I eat fish, but whenever we're having fish for dinner, I save some and feed it to my tropicals and triops.

I've been a vegetarian since the age of 7, but even before then, when my mam used to try and make me eat fish, I used to cry because I thought the goldfish could see me!
Everyone to their own opinion, but to me, there is no difference between the animals that share my home, and animals farmed for their meat, I wouldn't allow any of my pets to suffer, so I'm not willing to allow any animal to suffer for my dinner.
(and before anyone makes any comments abt hens and dairy animals, I only buy organic free range milk etc, and eggs come from my dads back garden!!)

yup i eat fish, in all honesty i think it's a little hypocritical to eat some meats and not others on moral grounds. if you find the idea of eating a dead animal disgusting and couldn't face the thought of eating soemthing you keep as a pet then you should be vegetarian and not eat any animals.

i've eaten all sorts, been to china and had plenty of unspecified meat so probably eaten cat, dog, all sorts really.

Fish is one of my favourite foods, although I can no longer eat Whitebait as it reminds me of/looks like deep fried Tetras, and also Plaice is off the menu as I ordered a whole one in a restaurant a while back and it looked too much like a Gourami (had the head left on etc), made me feel ill Silly I know, but haven't had either since.

Actually, I've often wondered if other fishkeepers eat fish, and have considered posting this very question myself. The first time I served up salmon after we got our first pet fish (Fingers, the betta) my kids seriously wanted me to cover the tank in case he saw
