So my Corys *do* like cucumber

I walked by my tank tonight on my way to the kitchen and stopped to peek at my fish. What did I see but a Pepper Cory munching away on the cucumber! They never even check out the cuke during the day or when I first put it in. But come night...over they go Sneaky little things!

Then when I was going to the kitchen again tonight (I've got bread rising, gotta watch it so I can get it baked so I can go to bed!), I stopped for another look. This time one of the Pepper Corys had a cuke seed in his mouth! I think he was trying to eat it, but that wasn't working so well for him. It was very cute though - there's the Pepper Cory sucking on a cuke seed!

I'd have taken pictures, but it was too dark. Turning on the lights would have sent him running, uh, swimming, for cover!

I just love those little Corys!

Yeh a couple of mine eat it as well. They dont eat loads but they have a good nibble.

do you have to do anything special to the cucumber chunk/slice before you put it in the tank? (besides wash it)

I just add a plant weight to it and toss it in. Some people to other stuff to it, but I never have and have never had any problems.
