So sorry to hear what happened! Could any harmful chemicals/toxins have found their way into the tank in any way, eg tapwater from w/c, etc?

i make sure all the water is dechlorinated i really dont understand what has happened :(

Sorry to hear your bad news mate, hope you can sort it out soon. Good luck!

I am almost sure that your male BN pleco will be fine. Mine always disappears and then comes back. Albino animals are known to have shorter lives and maybe they are a little weaker too. I remember when I got my BN pleco. He was so small and had no bristles. At that time I didn't know the basics of fishkeeping so I didn't cycle. I got him and 3 neons. The three neon died the next day but my BN pleco was fine. I found out that I had alot of ammonia in my tank and the BN pleco kept going up for air so that meant that I didn't have alot of oxygen in my tank. I was amazed at how tough he was to survive all that. BN plecos are the toughest fish on earth.
