Snails

My three year old granddaughter loves snails and is very gentle with them if she finds one in the garden, it is her birthday soon and was considering buying her a tank and giant african snail I have had a good read-up on them and can't find any reason not to get her one - does anyone have one or know of any reasons why it would be a poor choice?

I have a friend who has bred them, i wouldn't take any off her hands but each to their own lol

I don't see why it would be a poor choice but, then again I've never had one of those. I would just make sure that her mom wants a snail too. Parents usualy end up doing most of the work.

My son has 2, he loves them, they are easy to keep.
Great for giving children a sense of responsibility really
