Snails Transport Disease To Another Tank?

Okay so I cannot remember for the life of me if Snails can bring a disease into a tank or not. Or whether they can contain one. Does anyone know if snails can carry diseases if they come from one tank and you put them in another? I have been finding some things and each say something different and confusing. If any of you could answer my question, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

I'm sure they can but I think they are mostly only contagious to other snails. Even moving plants or nets or equipment from tank to tank can possibly transfer some kind of pathogen so if you have an unhealthy tank, then it would be best not to move anything from it to a healthy tank.
