Hi

I am cycling my tank at the moment (the fishless way) and some snail have snuck in on some of my plants.

I was hoping that the high concentrates of Ammonia would kill them off but they are still growing and munching on my plants.

Whilst there are no fish in my aquarium, are there any treatments available that will kill off the sneaky snails?

If not are there any suggestions for getting rid of them before they stuart multiplying?

Thanks

Lil

A good way is by putting a piece of vegetable in the tank. Weigh it down with a stone or something. Turn of the lights, come back later and throw away all the snails on it. repeating several times will complete the cure :D

If you use chemicals, the rotting snail bodies wont be very good for the tank.

Ahhh Understood

Thanks - I will buy them some goodies for tonight then.

I would say give them to me, but unfortunately you're several counties from me. Know what type of snails they are? What do they look like?

its hard to say as they are still babies - most of them have not formed colour in their shell yet, and the ones that have look like tiny little brown blobs.

I will try and get a pic of them
