hi all
ive recently changed my aps +uv filter with a 306 (fluval)
i used the media from the old in the new filter
since then my water smells like smelly feet
ive got foam pads, ceramic rings and bio balls in the new one water perameters re all nornal and the fish are fine
but what is making the water smell
thanks

Do a couple of large water changes and add some carbon to the filter. The smell should go away quite quickly.

Not a clue. Possibly the water surface breaking from the spill of the filter???

If you have a sand substrate I've heard gas can get trapped underneath? Cured by stirring up sand gently with a stick. It's a longshot.
