Small White Creatures On Glass

I seem to remember reading somewhere that these are good things, and a sign of a healthy tank, but I just wanted to check.

I set the tank up 3 days ago, with LR and LS. LR is fully cured.

The 'things' on the glass are tiny (about 1mm) white crawly things. Theres quite a few of them. I'm sure I've read something good about them, but I can't find the link.

Any ideas...?

Think they may be copepods??? Is that likely. Found the link here...

I assume they aren't a bad thing?? Is this a good sign?

Copepods are a very good sign.

They'll soon dissappear when you get stocked

Test your water levels, if the copepods are already out and about in numbers then your LR was certainly fully cured. You may be able to add you clean up crew straight away.

Just read the thred and this answers my Q about them. there all over the place and my sand is 'cralling' very strange to see but very cool as well!

What higher liveforms eat them?

If im correct i think a mandarin goby eats it?

The majority of reef fish will eat copepods given the chance but the best known harvesters of them are the Dragonets.
