Slate Caves

thanks mate! got my cave today super fast posting great quality and workmanship well worth the money! uve made my para pleco simba very happy!
 
what do you stick the caves together with ?;| dont they jsut coem apart in the water?
 
My daddy BN loves slate caves :) Pics below.. though I didnt get mine from Russ I can certainly say they make great spawning caves.
As for the kicking out eggs.. Ive found my male kicks out the ones that are laid anywhere other than the top of the cave, dont know why, maybe he thinks they are more at risk there or they are just in his way..lol

am thinking about getting a slate cave for my future two longifn albino bn's. dont know where to put it though, it would have to be small

you can tuck these away almost anywhere :)

If you have wood in the tank - lift one end and tuck the cave under
We have a few like that and it provides a greater feeling of security for he plecs as its a hiding place under a bit of wood :)

(our most used spawning cave in the zeb tank is one tucked under the bog wood ;))
 
How much to send to the states? What are the actual dimentions?
These could work for plecs and corys too. Any thing that likes to hide really...

I'm just about to ship 4 over to the states - all in its worked out at $75.

They are approx 120x45x25 (thats about 5"x2"x1")
and as you say - other fish can use them too...
If our plecs arnt careful, then our clown loaches are quick to move in - and they are normally not alone!
I evicted 3 clowns and 2 syno petricolas from one of the caves the other day while moving them about!
