i have the seaclone 100 and its been working fine for months, but now, i don't get any foam in the top canister. i used to have to empty that thing every other day but its been running for days now, and i got nothing. i just took it out and cleaned everything, set it up like it was before and still nothing. anyone got any ideas??
thanks,
Lyle

Yeah, your skimmer is fully broken in and the pump is aging a bit. As such, the point at which the water ends and big bubbles start foaming at the top has dropped, not allowing bubbles to break over the top of the collection cup. You'll have to restrict the skimmer outlet somehow to raise the water level in the reaction chamber just a bit. Usually this is accomplished by a valve, but I cant say where or which one since I've never used a seaclone.

or you could lower the overflow pipe inside the collection cup. this won't be so easy but they do make inside pipe cutters...drill bit type and also tubing type cutters. i drilled mine out about an inch before. just go very slow as that plastic can crack and shatter. it seemed to help mine.

i also have a seaclone . try this. take the filter foam off the power head and rinse out any crud that may have built up within the foam. second when adjusting your air valve make sure it is not getting too much air. you can tell by looking at the pick up tube. the tube that is attached to the powerhead. when you look at it make sure there is not an air pocket. water /bubbles shoud fill the tube fully. i have noticed that when there is too much air from the valve that an air pocket forms just behind the bend and slows down the overall flow of the foam and water pressure. try it out see what happens. if not i hear Prizims are nicer.
