Silver Arowana

Arowanas (only silvers and african and asian) are fine with the following fish as long as the tank is 7foot or bigger:
Pbass,
datnoids,
rays,
most SA/CA cichlids,
giant gouramies,
large catfish,
silver dollars,
large barbs.
The main rule of thumb for an arowana is if it fits in its mouth it is gone, so as long as your fish are atleast half the arows size you will be fine, good luck with it and hope this helps.
PS i have my silver arow with a breeding pair of severums a severum a jaguar cichlid, a perruno catfish and an oscar. :good:

and black arowana

it also depend on the type of fish kept with the aro i have a 18inch asian aro with a 4inch siamese tiger and the aro dont look at it but chould eat it easy if he wanted

if the aro has grown up with lots of diffrent types of tank mates it should be fine

its also not good to give the aro feeders as then he will think all fish are food

yeah sorry i missed the black arowana, yes i had my silver with tetras until he was 6" then i moved him to his bigger tank, and he did not look at them as food. i have found that as long as they are well fed they will be ok with smaller fish.
