ROFL I love how people make up statistics so easily, they're such and easy way to fool people, most people would class 55gal as 'big' or large, and they're one of the most common tanks.

TM you asked him for a bet, why not take it up?I doubt £100 is going to put you in debt, especially since you have all those nice expensive fish...
Adam I will force you to get a bigger tank.

If i had a pound for every time i've seen someone say they are going to buy a huge tank to keep some tankbuster or another that theyve just bought i'd probably be able to set up a second 900g, i'd go higher than T1karman and say that 90% of monster tank dreams are never built.

Take some masking tape and on the floor in the room where the tank will be tape out the outline of the tanks size, 48 square feet is a massive area in an enclosed space and a tank of that size weighs in the region of 7 tonnes so no floor unless purpose designed for the tank will hold it, even most garage floors will crack under that kind of weight.

I really would love to see the tank get built and truely hope it does, but i wont be holding my breath.

got to agree with cfc. Sorry but i can't see how a 15 year old is going to have the money to build/run a tank of that size either :/

Yes, and in three years it's going to be time to move out. Seems like a big investment for a short amount of time. I am having enough trouble trying to figure out how to set up my 30 litre for uni let alone a 900g. Just my 2 cents though - anything can happen and people can surprise you.

LOL - is gambling legal on this site, why dont you bet in mealworms T1 make it less serious!

Adam - I bet you 10 meal worms you dont upgrade

EDIT: on behalf of T1karmann, we'll use your mealworms T1 as you got quite a few

they say a tank should be at least 3 x the lenght of a aro so a 12ft x 4ft should do you cant wait to see the pics of that tank

i will put as much money as you want on that you dont have this aro in 1yr to 18 months

Lol well the bet was that^Not if he will get a monster tank...Very easy to beat indeed
Maybe 90% of 'monster tanks' don't happen, anyway tikerman said big, not monster :p

well its a monster tank he needs for a silver aro not a big tank

if you get a chance go to MA in iver they have a 42inch silver aro their that will give you some idear how big they get :shifty:

is this a closed bet or can anyone put in a £100?

the road to a monster tank is paved with good intentions...

I think a few more specific details may make these claims easier to believe, like quotes from tank builders? Filtration ideas? Tank placement proposals?

Just because CFC's aro is getting near to 4ft doesn't mean all will.In fact I've never actually heard of an aro as big as CFC's, even though there are many people with large tanks/public displays which have them.So please don't bring up the 80% of monster tanks don't happen lark...

Yeah ill put in £100 to and just to show you all just what were on about here have a look at this thread http://www.fishforums.net/content/Oddballs...lling-Arowana-/ another ill buy an aro and worry about a tank later thread.

   you beat me to it i was just going to post the same thread

the guy in that thread must have been part of the 80% of monster tank that never happen
I really don't get it, you've proved your point and we have moved on yet your being so immature and basically spamming this thread with everything you think.

There you go again.I don't think many disabled (I'm 99% sure you said you are somewhere, please don't take this as an insult...Just proving a point) people have them either but there you go.
