Hope this helps who? Me?

They've got a distraction at each end of the tank in the form of a reflection that won't back down. Do you think they'd still be pals, buddies, bffs 4eva if you took the mirrors away?

Squaring up to an opponent all day CAN be stressful for a betta. Am I the only one who's said it? What does that tell you?

If it works for you, great, I'm glad, but frankly I find it irresponsible of you to post "I've got two bettas in the tank and it works cos I have a mirror at each end!". For, what, 98% percent of the time, this wouldn't work out very well. Hopefully people coming across this thread from searches when when looking to see if you can keep bettas together will realise that it is really unlikely to work out and it would put their fish under more stress than is really necessary.

You appear unclear about my Betta' experience . Suggesting I'm 'Irresponsible'..and 'Hopefully coming across this thread' chatter? I say again..." an exception to the rule" I fear you missed it . And I really do hope ..this helps clear up your obvious puzzlement.

I award you '1 Tetra flake star' for your interest. LOL

If they're flaring at their reflection constantly and now you've taken away the mirrors, be prepared for a blood bath.

You did already reply to this once already, even though the quote didn't work, and I haven't said anything since...

...but since you bring it up again, I'm not unclear or puzzled in the slightest about your betta experience, at all. I worry you are being a bit naive and it's purely out of concern for your fish. Bettas can just snap and turn on another fish. You've got two together and it is naive to believe it will be peace love and harmony in the tank until their dying days.

It would be better to accept it might go wrong and at least have a back up plan.

Thanks for your input.
I really wish you could be right here in this beautiful great room surrounded by these huge aquariums loaded with fish from the furthest reaches of the world. I've spared no expense.
I could especially let you sit quietly and observe the two infamous Siamese fighters swimming together and looping the loop without so much as a sly wink at each other. Also,

in another tank who again, strangely, get on okay. Freakish huh?

And let's not even mention my Silver Dollars, Black Shark who does not attack the Ruby. Maybe my fish are all ...Mutants..LOL

But never fear, I'm working on some Youtube videos this very month.

I presume you won't take any videos of if/when it all goes wrong.

I don't know what point you're trying to make anymore. You keep saying they get on fine, we keep saying they might not forever. It's a perfectly valid point that you don't seem able to accept.

I agree. your point is made. I have learned much from the wise one.

you are far far more cleverer than I am. Thank god ... for you.

What was the point in posting this thread? Have you thought about how it can be helpful to anybody? Your reactions to others trying to caution you and anyone who is reading this thread I find arrogant and inflammatory!

Real shame about the sarcasm. You posted on a pretty contentious topic so i imagine you would have expected concerns to be raised? Hope to see you answer future posts with grace : )

The point... To share experience and knowledge. To be flexible. To be tolerant. To be adventurous. To be experimental.
Question... What happened to social skills??

You're not even making sense now so I'm leaving it there. Good luck with your bettas, I hope they prove us all wrong, for their sake. I don't expect you'll ever let us know if one does rip the other one apart, though.

it won't last.
I doubt you even have them in there. I think you're a troll. :hey:
Infact I'd go as far to say if I were a mod here I would ban you

Have a great day :hyper:
