I know, I know... not my tank!!! haha... still a scary ghost knife!
c'mon, isn't that one of the freakiest things you've ever seen?... aside from how people stock their tanks, that can be pretty scary too!! *heeby jeebs*
Its bad enough that fools with money can do that sort of thing. But then to put it in a vid and brag about it is worse. But it might teach somebody what not to do. More likely it will just convince some other fool that its OK to do this.
That poor Black Ghost Knife is probably doing that out of a mixture of fear(no-where to hide) and simple frustration because it has no plants to play in(which they like doing)
Not to mention the Pangasius and Red Tailed Cat that are both acting out of character too...
Lovely BGK on that you tube vid but talk about a bare tank!
Shame really as with a tank that size, you'd think they would do a really nice set up with LOADS of live plants, driftwood etc etc and obviously better stocking. Feel for those fish, such a boring tank!
I've seen a 2.5 foot bgk in an old mates tank. The tank was huge. Bigger than me. I'd say at least 8 foot. I've had the honor of caring for him for a couple of weeks. They're Truely magnificent creatures.
What people fail to realize is, yes, a 75 gallon is too small for a fully grown BGK but what they have to face up to is that it's almost garunteed if it gets rehomed it will be put in a smaller tank. There is a global shortage of people with 200 gallon tanks unfortunately.
