I do have a horrible ammonia spike, but still, I don't know why they'd climb out..Your guys water conditions may not be right... my shrimp have never tried to climb out of my tank. I don't even have a lid on my tank.
Not sure how visible they are under the night light, but yeah, pretty big! Cheap acrylic though, get what you pay for lolI see. Those must be some pretty big holes!
