Guppydude - I would take a minute to go to the IBC website. There is an offer for a free issue of Flare! that you can download off of their site (or you can join IBC for bimonthly issues of Flare! as well as other added benefits). Inside this sample issue you will find lots and lots of info about rules and requirements of IBC shows.

I'm sure you're still in first, Jody was behind you right? She's not on this result page and you cleaned up  :flex:

congrats to both of you, TFF seems to "breed" some serious breeders doesn't it? ;)

Thanks you guys!! it's very exciting and very fun  Hopefully when I get the certificates from this show,I'll finally hang them on my wall

Thanks Kelly and all, and congrats to you too Kelly!!! Our fishies did wonderfully. I'm so proud of my boy that placed (and of the others that didn't). I'm just bummed there aren't any more shows until next year, I'm really into this now, haha.

As for what happens to the fish, that's up to the owner/breeder. You have the option of having the fish sent back to you, but you have to pay for the overnight shipping again. Most people just let the fish go to the auction and try to recoup their costs for shipping and entering the fish (there is an entry fee, usually $2 per fish). That's what I did, I can't wait to find out how much they sold for. Because of this, most breeders don't send their "very best A" fish, they will send their 2nd team, so to speak. Then if they still have the best fish for breeding. That's also what I did, I kept the very best male from my spawn (best overall color and finnage) and sent the next best 2 guys. I'm going to be getting him in the spawn tank with a wonderful female I got a couple months back who have wonderful coloring and great lines (she comes from the Yang line, very well known for their reds).

Yuppers,it's customary to keep your best
Linda, I'm sure your boys did fantastic in auction. I did the same thing, just auctioned them all to avoid a trip home and the shipping fees. Plus I really have no need for them to come back here,if somebody wants to buy them, then by all means :p
