Linda and I both entered fish this time. Linda jumped right into the big pond competing with the big wigs like Jim Sonnier and.... girlfriend had one of her boys place 3rd in a class competing against 19 fish So exciting

Mine did fairly well too, I took home 3 more BOS awards. One for that hot little mustard gas female that I showed you guys last week. I dunno which girl took the Best Of Show...she was bicolor though so either an orange or a CT.

Anyway,congrats to us. Congrats,Linda!!!

Thanks you guys!! I haven't added up my points but I'm pretty sure I kept hold of the #1 slot. If I keep that up through next spring,I'm in the clear for the grand championship. So my red plakats had better pull through for me As well as the CT's I hope to have perfected by then.

Please pardon my ignorance, this Florida show, seems to be the first to be discussed since I've been a member... do you get the fish sent back after or what happens to them after these shows? i'm plainly curious to know if you get your prize fishies back or if they get dispensed to new owners locally to avoid the stresses of shipping again etc...

hey groove, to my knowledge the bettas that are showed are auctioned off at the end. iv never been to one but from what iv heard thats what they do.

Many times they are auctioned off, guppydude's right. However, if a breeder wants a particular fish back, they usually simply need to inform the show staff and provide the funds for return shipping.

cool, perhaps ill b able to enter a show somtime i dont know of any in wisconsin but if my spawn turns out to look pretty good u can bet ill be looking around for one. can just anyone enter a show or are there requirements?
