Okay!! I'm allllll excited. Once I pay off my retarded debts... (overcharged with debit card, i owe the bank 150 dollars plus my cell phone bill needs to be paid, etc..., then i gotta get a new heater for my fry tank...) BUT! after a couple more pay checks (aka A COUPLE WEEKS!) I can get my first REAL quality betta... my first betta ORDERED from... i duno... somewhere ELSE!!





I've always scoped out at LFS's and managed to find alright bettas, some decent crowntails (although they have red wash, i think theyre still lovely!.... if only genesis were a solid purple, though.... ) and a few alarmingly beautiful VTs.... but now i can get whatever i want, and even, from WHERE EVER i want!


heres some questions i have for you guys...


Where do you suggest i order mine from?


I know of betta talk, so you dont necesarily have to mention that one unless you really want to...

other than that, I dont have much.



Also, what tail type should i do, do you think? I'm still a beginner, really, ive been doing this a little under a year, so i wouldnt want one that is TOO high maintenance (im not sure if any are "high maintenence" but im just putting that so maybe someone can let me know if one is or not ) like, im not sure if one type has more fin damage than another ( i believe ive heard somewhere that halfmoons do? ) BUT! ANYWAY! Give me what you think, please! I'm REALLY EXCITED!

Wohoo that's awesome. Well let me see, I've had bettas for 4 months, started with a VT, and now I have 1 Vt, 1 CT and 7 PKs, plus 2 more PKs on the way. Soooooo Multiple Betta Syndrome has definitely struck me. Get whatever you want to! There are many places you can get them from, I'm getting mine from a seller in Canada and thanks to Synirr I have the 7 Pks. Crownie is so adorable, he's a LFS one too but I love him,he's royal blue.
There's always aquabid, they definitely have some good stuff on there! I wouldn't know of many but I think bettaman on here sells them as well. I'm sure you'll get some more help but I wouldn't say there's anything too hard to take care of. Get whichever you like best! Good luck

You should take a look at Marianne's Bettas: http/bcbetta.com She has some GOOOORGEOUS bettas! If I had the money, I'd definitely get a few pairs from her.

Yeah lol but I'd at least like some info on the diff types and problems they may have so to aid decision - because i love them ALL! All that i know i WONT be getting... (yet....) are pk's..... I'd be frustrated with having fry and not knowing which one was male or female, or being wrong about it or something.. haha. i already try to rush sexing them, i dont need any more of that trouble

What worries me about aquabid is you never know if its just a lil kid messing with nature, or if its an actual quality guy - i definately want to go for quality, since ive never been able to before!

so thats why im hoping for webpages where i can really see that this person is for real haha.... cuz i doubt a 10 year old would have a fully functional stock page....

There is always Aquabid too. If you go to IBC (International betta congress) and go to *member's sites* , it has alot of good breeders.

Well I noticed you're in the US (so am i) - I would suggest bluebettausa.com - they have quality bettas for sell. Or just keep looking around your area and get a nice vt/ct/plakat/hm.
