k so im walking past my favorite bettas tank an hes down at the bottum. with his head laying on this crystal thing i got for himan he looks dead!!! so i mumble..walk over grab the fish net walk to the tank put my hand over the tank he hes back to normal!!! was he sleeping?

probably. my crowntail does that a lot, hes always scaring me

only 2 of my bettas do this. the other jus sebtles at the bottum at the base of his fav plant an doesnt move for hours

its perfectlly normal for a betta to sleep, it can scare anyone half to death lol

specially if u have some plants...they make some awsome beds

Zaliel does this all the time -- intentionally to scare me to death, I'm sure. He sleeps at the top and sometimes he rolls over onto his side in his sleep. Since he's old, I'm always convinced that he has passed away but the second I walk up to the tank he pops right back to life and begs for food
