She Bit Me!

My mbuna nibble on my fingers, and I used to have a betta that would eat blood worm off of my fingers.

Yesterday I fed my bettas a pellet that was stuck to my finger just to see if they would and my female, Afia, did it without hesitation.
It took her a few tries to actually find the pellet b/c she was excited but she finally got it.
Her nibbling my finger was pretty cute though. Felt really weird heh

I haven't been bit by any of my bettas so far, I've been nibbled on by guppies which tickles I think.
I was bit by my Oscar once but it was my own fault for trying to tempt him!

We've accidentally managed to train our crowntail Betta, Khan to leap up out of the water and bite for food. Except now you put your finger over the water and he viciously goes for it. Got Steve, our veiltail to eat out of our hands and he'd nip your fingers, but the girls wont do it yet. :(

I want my ladies to bite me! But not like Khan cos that hurts.

yea when i first put my finger over to drop the food mine will jump out the water, i have a video of it in my betta thread, but once i start dropping the food he won't do it anymore lol.

it doesnt hurt you wimp  maybe its cos the ends of my fingers are rock solid from being a guitar player, i'll try it with one of the fingers on my right hand ^_^

It doesnt hurt much. But its scary. Its not playfully little nibbles like Steve. These are hefty honking great snaps. Like he wants to kill my finger. I have little girly fingers which dont help.

Khan is uber rude. He jumps like a loon for food and he bit my boyfriend when he was sorting out the filter. Thats the second betta we've managed to convince that fingers=food.

walnut bit me once and it scared me so bad! my other betta had never done that before and i didn't know what had happened! haha. but he bit me again today and no freaking out on my part, although i think he was a little shocked once he realized what he was nibbling on was almost as big as he was.
