How do you do it?
I've been told that the elongated tailfins are males but the ones I have, have all got different lengths so I don't know whats what.
Any help will be much appreciated oh and pics could be useful too.

easy :)

males have 'floppy' fins and a metallic blue and orange stripe... females are a plane yellow colour with no fancy fine ;)

go careful - the can actually be quite aggressive - Ours bite me when I'm feeding then :)

The recommend more females than males to disperse the aggression. We now have 11 of them - 5 males and 6 females.

They are also quite a big fish - those males are about 4" excluding the tails.
They need a lot of swimming room.
