Setting Up My Sap Tank....

Day 3....

The tank is full.
Lights are up and running....
And all ornaments have been scrubbed and put in the tank.

Not much more I can do for now until the plants arrive next week! Also having trouble getting the Eheim to work, it's not priming [sp], so I'm going to have to strip it down again tomorrow and see whats wrong [like I have a clue what I'm looking for :hyper: ]. I need to know what it's eventual noise level is going to be before I decide whether I can put up with it in my bedroom [in my community tank]. If it's too loud it'll stay downstairs in the SAP tank....other wise the SAP tank will run two internals....does that make sense? Probably not....lol

Went out on a little tour of the LFS's today and was a little disappointed at the lack of Puffers around!!! But I'll find some eventually....would have been worse if I'd seen a nice little group of fishes knowing I didn't have the tank ready to put them in!

Sorry for the poor quality....rubbish camera and even worse photographer!!!! Waters still a bit cloudy, but the eheim is up and running so as soon as I find some fish, I'll put my very mature Fluval 3 into the left hand corner of the tank and we're off!!!!!!

you tank is looking yummy! that root in the right hand corner is the exact one I have couldnt resist! Looking fabby!

Cheers hun  Obviously the plants need to fill out loads [no doubt I'll add a few as well], I want some slate or something in there also, but what you see atm is just a first attempt. That root thingy came with the tank....all the ornamental bogwood did....I love ebay.....lol

Ebay is the bomb! More plants the better, but really loving the look. That is such a long looking tank, the SAPs are going to love it!

I really like those long tanks. Wish I had the room for one. You guys are making me green with envy

Look forward to pictures of its resident(s) and also to Lilacamy's new tank too ;)

Good news...my water has cleared and the tank looks pristine!!!!!

Bad news.....CAN'T FIND ANY FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh no! Have you tried maidenhead aquatics most of the ones near me have them?

I was at my local Maidenheads on friday and they don't have any coming in for weeks.....didn't seem to be an option to have them ordered in either. Nice shop though.....had never been there before..... even though it's just down the road form Wildwoods [my normal favourite shop]. Wildwoods don't have any in atm...nor do Amwells.....ho hum.....

Have you tried MA in St Albans? They usually have quite a few different species of puffers in stock. Worth phoning them. Very nice shop too :)

Thank you everyone! Going to have a ring round again today, unfortunatley I won't be able to collect them until the weekend even if I find any [unless they have late night opening], I don't drive and have to rely on my 'lil Bro  to do the driving. Typical isn't it....I've been off work for 3 months [hence going from 1 tank to 5.....lol] and go back to work this Friday, so my time is going to once again be limited.....shame really....I was enjoying spending time with my dogs and fish.....oh and the kids!
