Serpae Tetra

Hi im wondering if i could get serpae tetra in a 66 gallon tank with large angelfish ?

are they good for schooling?

I am unsure as I do not have Angel fish but I have read on this forum and others that the large ones do like to eat small fish like tetra Hopefully someone in the know will post

I have had 6 Serpae tetras in my 20 gallon tank for 2 weeks now. I find that 4 of them tend to school together and the other two hang out in different corners of the tank. They seem to play together in the tank and nip each other although I am not sure how they would be with an Angelfish. They would appear to run circles around it. haha. Hope this helps...

A friend of mine had 10 serpae tetras in with 3 medium angels.

As you say they nip and his angels got mad, turn on them and headbutted 4 of the tetras to death.

he doesn't recommend it
