Searching for the lost enthusiasts

I have a pair of those as well, and from my research their species is Melanotania splendida or Splendid rainbow to some. Nice pic by the way.
 
WOW.....those threadfins are AMAZING..... :drool: I bet they don't get on with much other fish though.........with fins like THAT!!!! :eek: :hyper:


I don't think mine are the splendids.........fins are all wrong and mine are SOOO vibrant that I just can't settle with that being what they are, or maybe I just don't want to ??

Well to get things started have any of you seen this new cross breed, isn't it amazing. I'm told (and it sounds right) that it's a red boesemani (Glossolepis incisus x Melanotaenia boesemani).

although seriously late for this thread the fish in the picture is a male Melanotaenia parkinsoni, (orange form). There is also a yellow form whereby the orange is replaced with yellow.
