Hello, I am treating two tanks for what is likely internal parasites. I am mixing Seahcem's Metro and Garlic Guard with frozen daphnia or brine shrimp, as recommended by Seahcem. I let it stand for 30 minutes in the fridge, then feed. I freeze the leftovers, as the label says this is ok.

How long should I use metronidazole? The label only says until symptoms are gone, but what do you think? One of the fish is doing much better, while the one that is not feeding has stayed the same.

Also, can or should I also treat the water column at the same time? Is it worth it even if fish are eating the medicated food I prepared? Only one of the infected fish is not eating, but I am worried about stressing the fish by dosing the water column.

Thank you.

Medicate for 10-14 days. If they are eating the medicated food there is no reason to medicate the water, as ingestion of metro works best from my experiences.
