You gave your time and you did your best. That's what anyone could ever ask for. I hope everything works out.
As for the betta, put him in a mayonnaise jar with clean, clean, clean and conditioned water. Feed him once a day and do a water change twice a week. If you have BettaFix, try some in the jar. Just follow the directions. If his condition doesn't improve - at least a little improvement in about a week :smb: - then it might be just too late. The best thing though is to separate him from the tank for the meantime so he can recouperate in peace. Good luck!
