Schottayb's Juwel Trigon 190

looking good mate. i spotted that volcano in a shop at the weekend, i had to double take on it :D You could plant around it and the plants would eventually cover it up and you would get an odd looking light beaming through them :D

Thanks for the input mate :).

It does look quite good, looks better than photos make out IMO . I was thinking of attaching moss to it, so it would be coverd in moss

Only a week to wait till I get a load more plants and finally get my 3 peices of Redmoor wood, should look much better then!

#41#### Angle fish keep pulling plants out :shout:!

Quick update, few things arrived today :good::

Got the plants sorted, but not in the tank just yet. Woods in soak, she floats . It looks much better in person IMO, picture doesn't do it much justice. Looks great when it's wet!!.

Will get more pictures up once the wood is in the tank!

Cheers :)

Looking good so far fella, interesting thread as well. I have some of the redmoor wood in my tanks and its fantastic stuff, really natural looking(unlike your wifes decorations) :D Looking forward to more pics.

Thanks :).

I've threw the plants in the tank in any position for the time being. I've put the Redmoor wood in soak, darn thing floats!

Any idea how long this can take before it will sink? It's so light, feels like it would never sink .

Cheers :good:

it'll only take 3 or 4 days to get water logged. If you can't wait, then just drill a slate to the bottom.

Haven't got a bucket big enough to soak them in so they are in the bath , misses isn't happy !

I'll give them till tomorrow night in the bath and see how they are doing. They are so light! If theres no progress tomorrow night I'll drill some slate to the bottom like you said Friday morning :good:

Thats all going to look well nice when in mate.

Oh, and i brought a bin from a bargin store to soak my wood

Cheers mate :). I had one but threw it away as I never thought I'd need it again !

It's been in the bath for over 24 hours now and feels no heavier :look:. Need to take it out in a hour or something so we can shower .

I've heard it can take a long time before it will sink because of how dence it is. With the look of the wood, it should be worth the wait :good:

Sorry I haven't updated this for a loooong time! With work and holliday I haven't put as much time as I needed to into the tank.

I still need a shed load more plants! And need the ones currently in there to grow more!!

Any way... here's a couple of pictures of how it looks now. Quite a change from how it looked when I first brought it :).

Full Tank Shot...

Still need to remove that volcano, but the misses likes it :\. Comments / suggestions welcome!

Sorry for quality, from my iPhone :(.

Hope your happy now MINNNNT !!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know about the other guy, but i am very happy. :D Looking good mate, the wood has really fitted in well with the crisp colour of the plants and substrate.

Now for my next request... pics of your fish!!!!!

Pictures do it no favors! When your looking at the tank from my height you see a lot more of the wood, best wood I've ever used tbh!

Need a LOT more plants though to fill in the gaps lol.

I only have an iPhone for pictures, always a blur! But I'll try ;)... Rams are getting bigger one is quite bigger than the other though... M/F? LOVE the Keyholes too, great addition they are so funny .

Cheers for reply!
