Sally Lightfoot Query

This morning i awoke to find my Sally Lightfoot dead. I checked the tank parameters and salinty. 1.024, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite and 0 Nitrate 0, 24oC. There were no marks on the crab and it all appeared to be there except it had no colour it seemed opaque.

Eveything else the hermits, snails and my 2 clown fish seem to be fine.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what mey have fone wrong?

false alarm I have just found it lurking.

I guess it must have molted - incedible it looked like a whole crab.....

Should I have taken it out I am now wondering..

I would take it out, but some people say that its good for their health because they will eat them. Your decision.

i think that just relates to FW cray fish.. not too sure though.

leave it in, it is essentially calcium and leaving it in just means it gets dissolved back into the system. A cleaner or the water itslef will take care of it.

Agreed. The 'empty' shells I leave in disapear over night.
