Hi all, I have started to look at test kits to save me going to the lfs all the time. I looked at various kits which include all the main tests and as you guys seem to swear by salifert I've looked into them but I can't seem to find a complete kit that comprises of all the tests, only the individual tests. Do they exist?

All the lfs seem to be using the api kits as they come complete. Are these just as good?

Cheers!

Sorry if this has already been covered once! I did have a look first!

the api kit is great. get it off ebay for about 20 quid, maybe a bit less. they're at least 30 quid in shops.

oops sorry, clicked on this through 'recent threads' at the side of the main page, not realising it was in the marine section. even so, my tropical API master test kit is great, and cheaper off ebay than in shops. i cant see why a marine kit woudl be any different.

Hey Woody,

As far as I know they dont have one and if they did you would have to take out a mortgage

Been looking for a Salifert nitrate kit myself on Ebay, found a very good seller (100000+ feedback) that seems to have most of the kits. Anyway ph kit £5.35, Phosphate £8.50 etc delivery free!

Anyway im picking myself some up because these in my opinion are about as cheap as they get. Just get what you can afford, I would say nitrate, phosphate, ammonia, ph are good ones to start with.

By the way I have Api and Nutrifin masterkits and they arent a patch on salifert accuracy wise, but thats my opinion ;)

Heres a link http://shop.ebay.co.uk/peteramos1/m.html?_nkw=salifert&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m270.l1313
